They tell me to be discreet for all intended purposes,
They tell me revenge is sweet and from where they stand, I'm sure it is.
But I feel nothing for their game where beauty goes unrecognized,
All I feel is heat and flame and all I see are dark eyes.

I'm excited about my pay check on Thursday. It will be the biggest I've ever received. I've spent it a million different ways in my mind. For the first time in my life I can actually say that I love my job. Working with kids is the best. Surprising it took me so long to figure out that this is what I should be doing. It works out perfectly, PA/D days and snow days I'm off, not to mention March/Christmas/Summer breaks. Everything seems to be falling into place. I plan on going back to school but I'm not sure exactly when. I have to iron a few things out first. I need a car to get back and forth etc. For now I'm content doing what I'm doing. The kids are getting older and so am I. David and I have been talking a lot about having another baby. It's something we'll continue to discuss but we realize that we don't have forever. I think about how wonderful Emma and Jacob would be with him/her. sigh* I'm not ready to say no. Especially seeing the kindergarten kids everyday with their cuteness.
Our kitten Avery is growing. She has a wonderful personality. She loves to snuggle and lick faces. She's afraid of slippery floors and it's funny to watch her walk wonky. The kids cradle her in their arms and she doesn't mind. She runs towards the kids voices and waits at the top of the stairs when she hears us come home.I sit and watch her and Molly play. At first Molly would sleep with her back to her, now Avery cuddles into her belly and hugs her. I have noticed that she's overprotective with food. That must stem from sharing with 6 cats in her last home. I'm so happy we decided to adopt her.
Emma is still showing interest in working with animals. I wish we had a farm. a place to keep the animals she wants but I'm too squeamish to keep in the house. I don't do snakes. They freak me out with their beady little eyes. I feel bad because I know how interested she is. Barbie days are over, my baby girl wants a ball python.

I still can't believe my eyes when I look at her. She's turning into such a lovely young lady. I am just head over heels proud of both of my kids. I feel so lucky and blessed to be their mother. Tonight Jacob decided would be the perfect night to put up the Halloween decorations. It's a little early but they've convinced me with their enthusiasm.
A few pics from our camping trip this summer.
